This was a really fun read. Not only did I learn more about formula 1 race cars and racing, but it takes you into the world of design as well. It's clean. It has some romance, some suspense, and action. I enjoyed it.

FINDING ANNE DE BOURGH by Ronda Gibb Hinrichsen

FINDING ANNE DE BOURGH by Ronda Gibb Hinrichsen. This book left me feeling a bit unsettled. I'm used to the author writing mystery/suspense novels, yet this one has a strong romantic element to it that overshadowed the mystery side of it. I enjoyed the characters and the mystery, although I was able to figure out what was going on halfway through the story. I wasn't sure how Anne and Owen were going to get together. It ended well and by the end of the story I felt a little more settled in the story. I haven't figured out if I wanted more mystery to be there or if the romantic element was too strong for my expectations of the story. I'm not sure. I would recommend it to anyone who does love a good romance with mystery elements in it.

With a frightening foreshadowing regarding the de Bourghs, Anne begins to question whom she can truly trust.

UNDERCOVER HONEYMOON by Kari Iroz

UNDERCOVER HONEYMOON by Kari Iroz. I have really enjoyed Jack's journey through A DATE WITH DANGER and MORMON GIRL: INCOGNITO. This new installment is so much fun. Jack just has a habit of stumbling into things she probably shouldn't and how she is able to help makes it even better. There were some character twists in this one I didn't expect. It would be interesting to read all three back to back and see if I missed some of the foreshadowing of those twists. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance with a good dose of mystery and suspense. I look forward to any other stories about Jack and Damon.

CATHERINE'S INTRIGUE by Paige Edwards

CATHERINE'S INTRIGUE by Paige Edwards. This book started out with a bang. It sucks you in very quickly. I immediately loved Catherine, Jack and Nick. They are easy to relate to on some level. The quest Catherine was on was also fascinating. I enjoyed seeing how it played out. I had a problem with the dialogue written so true to English terminology that I had a hard time placing what it meant. I had to think to much about what some words were referring to. I understand keeping things true to the country where the story it written, and many times the author defined those words well, but there were times when the definition and the word used were spaced far enough apart that I had forgotten the meaning. Overall, I really enjoyed the story and would recommend it to just about anyone.

THE GEM THIEF by Sian Ann Bessey

THE GEM THIEF by Sian Ann Bessey. This was a very engaging read. I sat back and enjoyed everything about it. Who wouldn't love a Mediterranean cruise. It was fun to read about an industry I really know nothing about, and to learn about it mixed with suspense, romance, and the location, you can't go wrong. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to travel with some romantic suspense in the mix. I will be looking into more books by this author.

PROXIMITY by Traci Hunter Abramson. This was a great read. Tia was so fun and I loved her relationship with Evan. I was sad when distance seemed to be in the way. Then with Colby, I could tell something was off but couldn't figure out exactly what and why until the end. It is a fantastic read full of suspense and romance. It is a perfect read for anyone who loves a good suspense novel.

SHORT INVESTIGATIONS by Clair M Poulson. This was a good suspense novel. There wasn't anything that was too intense, but it kept me on my toes, trying to figure out who did it. It was easy to like both Rhett, Max, and Patches, and there wasn't too much romance involved. Sometimes I get annoyed with the romancey side of things in the middle of a suspense novel, but things were just right in this one. There were some predicatable twists and some not so predicatable. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good suspense with some romance in it.

TRIPWIRE: A SAINT SQUAD NOVEL by Traci Hunter Abramson

TRIPWIRE A Saint Squad Novel by Traci Hunter Abramson. I've enjoyed each Saint Squad Novel since I was introduced to them and this one is no exception. I love novels that have characters I'm familiar with and love already. I did find some holes in my memory of Jane, so I'll have to go back and read Spotlight in order to fill those in, but I like Jane and her take on things. I like how the Saint Squad's mission was weaved into the story. There was good suspense that kept the pages turning. This was a book I couldn't put down and finished in a couple of days. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good suspense with romance.

Jane Napierski is back at work at the job she loves—being a personal assistant to her friend Sienna Blake, a rising star actress. The duo is on location in Virginia Beach to film Sienna's new TV series, along with costar Reed Forrester—the man with whom the world thinks Sienna is in love. Wrong.

Sienna's heart actually belongs to her fiance, Craig, a Navy Seal with the Saint Squad. Craig must fly under the radar if he is to keep Sienna safe from this world of terrorists and toxic bombs. And Reed has no problem pretending to date his old friend Sienna simply because it means he can spend time learning more about Jane. SEARCHING FOR IRENE by Marlene Bateman

SEARCHING FOR IRENE by Marlene Bateman. This was an interesting book. I found I loved each individual character by themselves. I loved most of them together, but I had a hard time following some of their "mood swings." It was obvious that Anna had something to hid in the beginning, and as her secrets were revealed, I wondered if they were revealed too early in the storyline. In the end, her secrets were laid out at the right time which helped things along. As the story progressed though, I had a hard time figuring out who the culprit was. Just as I was solid with evidence and person, something else would happen that caused me to question my deduction. When everything came to a conclusion I still felt confusion. As I thought about it I felt like there were too many red herrings for my taste. I will have to go back through the story again to see if I missed some cleverly hidden clues as to the true guilty party. I'd be curious to see what other people think about this.

DEADLY INHERITANCE by Clair M. Poulson. This was a great suspense. I loved the twists and turns that happened as Andi, Bolden and Mason worked toward Gramps's murder. It kept me on my toes the entire book. The characters were instantly likable and it was fun to read about them. The story is fast-paced and keeps the pages turning. However, the romantic element that was present felt forced throughout most of the book. I cringed anytime things seemed to happen. I would recommend it to anyone who loves a great suspense and can put up with a little awkward romance.

ONE FELL DOWN by Ronda Gibb Hinrichsen. There are many books that I end up skimming through a lot of the story. This was not one of them. I found that I was reading every word. The story enthralled me and I truly couldn't put it down. The mystery to solve was well done and had me guessing as to who the murderer was, and most of the time I didn't have it correct. I loved being in New Zealand with a different culture that I wasn't familiar with. The characters were well developed and easy to relate with for the most part. It was a fantastic read that anyone who loved a good mystery/suspense novel, with a bit of romance, will love.

When Mikaela York opens an anonymous blue sympathy card with the nursery rhyme "Jack and Jill" written inside, she doesn't know what to make of it. But soon after, Mikaela and her fiance are in a tragic car accident, resulting in her husband-to-be's death. Then when Mikaela's grandmother loses her life in a hiking accident one year later, an old man gives Mikaela another mysterious blue card at the funeral.

After the service, Mikaela's grandfather asks that she oversee the renovations on his bed & breakfast in New Zealand. When she arrives, Mikaela meets Tui Davies—the inn's manager—and Brentin Williams, the man Tui expects her daughter to marry. Tui helps Mikaela retrieve a doll from the cellar vault, but the doll turns out to be an evil omen that Mikaela is told she must get rid of before someone is murdered.

Meanwhile, the old man from the funeral is bent on revenge and is plotting against everyone who has ever wronged him, and Mikaela is next in line. But until she discovers the killer's contact in New Zealand, who can she trust? And while Brentin attempts to help Mikaela overcome her grief, she must decide—is she ready to love again?

BREACH OF TRUST by Kathi Oram Peterson. I have always enjoyed military, suspense novels and this one was a good read. The characters were easy to become attached to. The story was page turning and kept me reading through most of it. It was a very tangled web that needed to be sorted it out. There were many red herins, almost too many in a way. (Of course it could have been because I had to keep turning pages and it ended up being a really late night.) I thought I had it figured out a few times, but after being wrong I gave up and just read the story. I would recommend it to almost anyone. Since it does deal with war situations, it wouldn't be good for younger readers, in my opinion.

NOT A WORD by Stephanie Black. This was a really good read once I got into it. I had a hard time the first couple of chapters. When it settled into the main two characters points of view and I understood who the other character point of view was, the story made more sense. Natalie and Gideon are wonderful characters who are easy to fall in love with and understand their quorks. I enjoyed watching them grow. The red herrings were well planted and served their purpose well. For the most part I kept the pages turning. It is a great read that I would recommend to anyone who loves a good suspense novel.
