THE MERCHANT AND THE ROGUE by Sarah M Eden. What a wonderful addition to the penny dreadfuls books. I loved getting to know Brogan better, and his sister. Vera was a perfect match and the way they worked together to solve the issues presented them. I loved how they strengthened each other when needed, and I loved how Brogan learned how to step forward too. Loved this one and can't wait for the next one.

Vera Sorokina loves reading the penny dreadfuls and immersing herself in tales of adventure, mystery, and romance. Her own days are filled with the often mundane work of running the book and print shop she owns with her father. The shop offers her freedom and an income, and while she is grateful for the stability it brings to her life, she often feels lonely.

Brogan Donnelly was born and raised in Ireland, but has lived in London for several years, where he's built a career as a penny dreadful writer. He has dedicated himself to the plight of the poor with the help of his sister. But with no one to share his life with, he fears London will never truly feel like home.

When Brogan and Vera's paths cross, the attraction is both immediate and ill-advised. Vera knows from past experience that writers are never to be trusted, and Brogan has reason to suspect not everything at Vera's print shop is aboveboard. THE GENTLEMAN AND THE THIEF by Sarah M Eden. This is a continuation of the penny folds from the story THE LADY AND THE HIGHWAYMAN that I so loved (review here). I absolutely love stories that weave together. I really enjoyed the penny fold stories in the addition. So it's really three stories in one. Hollis and Ana are perfect for each other. It shows that not everyone is as they seem, and to not judge a person by who they appear to be. There are many reasons people behave and do what they do and if we make quick judgements, often we are wrong and miss out on the potential of wonderful relationships with others. I really enjoyed seeing Ana come out of the shadows throughout the story. I loved how Hollis found his footing as well. I would highly recommend this story to one and all.

A gentleman scribes penny dreadful novels by night and falls in love with a woman who is a music teacher by day—and a thief at night.

When a spree of robberies rocks the city, Ana and Hollis join forces to solve the crimes, discovering that working together deepens the affection between them. After all, who better to save the day than a gentleman and a thief?

THE LADY AND THE HIGHWAYMAN by Sarah M Eden. The best part of this book is it's really three stories in one. I loved being able to see the two competing pennyfold stories play out as well as
the actual story. Fletcher and Elizabeth had such interesting stories as individuals that when they came together it made the whole book that much better. This is such a wonderful, fun story that I highly recommend to anyone who loves a great story as well as adventure, romance and intrigue. Be sure to let me know what you think as well.

She is also a well-respected author of ”silver-fork” novels, stories written both for and about the upper-class ladies of Victorian society. HEART OF A VICAR by Sarah M Eden. I love Sarah's books. They take me away to another world which isn't perfect but I love to be a part of. I love the Jonquil family, and any time I get to see into the heart of one of the brothers, it reveals so much more about the family. Holy Harry has always been one of the quiet brothers to me in the other books. To finally hear where he was coming from and what made him tick was wonderful. And the way Sarah handled herself with the situations she was placed in showed a determination and drive that not many women had. I love this new installment and can't wait for more. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a great, clean romance.

HEALING HEARTS by Sarah M Eden. I love Savage Wells and the people there. I love all their personalities and how they fight for one of their own. Add Miriam into the mix and it makes the town even better. She had her work cut out for her, winning over the townspeople after leaving their beloved Gideon at the alter, but she did it in the best possible way. This story also showed what it was like for those in the early medical field and how far we have come in learning and developing in both opinions as well as medical means. It is a fascinating story that will leave you turning the pages to find out what happens next and how Gideon and Miriam will make things work. I highly recommend this book to anyone.

LONG JOURNEY HOME by Sarah M Eden. Sarah will always be one of my favorite authors. I have loved all of the Hope Springs Novel and this one did not disappoint. I love learning of the trials and hardships of a new nation and how people sacrificed to make a place for themselves. It gives me a good reminder to be grateful for everything I have. Maura's journey is no exception. I knew who I thought she would get together with, but I wasn't sure it was actually going to happen until the very end. The way things played out was so incredible. This is a wonderful novel for anyone who loves a bit of history with their romance and who loves the O'Conner family. They will teach one how to love, work together, stick together, and survive.

LOVING LIEUTENANT LANCASTER by Sara M Eden. Two of my favorite families come together in this book, The Lancaster's and the Jonquil's. I had a smile on my face through out the entire book. Arabella is a wonderful addition to the characters that I love. Getting to know Linus better was a treat. Seeing how the two struggled to bridge their worlds was delightful. I would highly recommend this book to everyone. Once you read it, you'll want to learn more about the other characters that are involved. It's a fantastic addition to the Lancaster family books.

ASHES ON THE MOOR by Sarah M. Eden. I love Sarah's books and this one is no exception. The beauty of hard work and growth Evangeline displayed was so well done. I enjoyed seeing how Dermot and Evangeline's relationship blossomed through serving each other. The fiery tenacity Evangeline showed in working toward her goals is inspiring to anyone who is struggling with life. I couldn't wait to see how everything worked out for both Dermot and Evangeline. I would highly recommend this wonderful, proper romance to anyone who loves first a good romance as well as the growth someone gains from hard work.

FOR LOVE OR HONOR by Sarah M. Eden. I love the Jonquil brothers and really enjoyed being back with them. This was a tougher one emotionally to read because of the nature of Captain Stanley and his experience. As things were learned and his real struggles were brought to light, I found myself thinking of all those military men and women, past and present. How grateful I am for their service and there were moments that brought tears to my eyes as my heart hurt for both Stanley and his family. I wasn't sure how it was going to work out, but being a romance you know it has to. I would have never thought of the ending, but it was perfect. This is a fantastic read that I highly recommend.

ROMANCING DAPHNE by Sarah M Eden. I just love Sarah's books, and I just love the Lancaster family. It is so fun to see the stories of others involved in the stories I've thoroughly enjoyed. Daphne is so easy to love and sympathize with. Then James joins and the story gets even better. The twists and turns keep one turning the pages to discover how the situations work out. It is a wonderful story of love, hope, love lost, risk, deceit, and sacrifice. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good, romantic story.

A FINE GENTLEMAN by Sarah M Eden. I was very happy to get back into the world of the Jonquil brothers. I enjoyed getting reaquainted with several of them and having little things fall into place from previous Jonquil brother stories. Jason was wonderful as was Mariposa. To watch both of their journeys throughout the story was a beautiful thing. Many of the lessons they learned along the way are lessons everyone could learn from even now. This is a fantastic story from the first page to the last. Sarah's books always get me to laugh out loud. My only slight frustration is a loose end that I'm hoping will be tied up in the next book. Either way, I highly recommend this book to anyone.

THE SHERIFFS OF SAVAGE WELLS by Sarah M. Eden. I love Sarah's books, and this is no exception. The idea of a woman sheriff in the territories of those times is unheard of. Then to mix in a love story with a bit of a mystery makes this book something for everyone. I absolutely loved the banter between Cade and Paisley. The tension between the two and the problems that arise in Savage Wells is done very well. I felt as torn as the characters did at times. This is a story that is for anyone, especially those gunslingers that love a good shoot out among friends and enemies. I highly recommend this fantastic story.

A TIMELESS ROMANCE ANTHOLOGY: OLD WEST COLLECTION. This collection of short stories was a great, quick read. I enjoyed the stories, some more than others. Each one has great characters that will leave you smiling at the end. It is a great way to get a taste of several different authors. I would recommend this anthology to any romantic at heart.

In BREAK A LEG, a charming story by two-time Rita Award winner Carla Kelly, hospital steward Colm Callahan is ready to move away from army life at Fort Laramie. His only regret is leaving behind exotic Ozzie Washington, easily the prettiest woman on the post. As a maid to the lieutenant colonel's wife, Ozzie is no wilting flower when it comes to hard work. When the post surgeon leaves for an extended week, Colm must handle several medical emergencies on his own. He pleads for Ozzie's help at the hospital. THE SOLDIER'S HEART, an enchanting novella by Sarah M. Eden, follows Gregory Reeves has fallen in love with a woman he’s never met. Her brother’s dying wish is that Gregory checks on his family, and after the war, Gregory is only too happy to meet the woman he’s been dreaming about. Helene mistakes him for a hired hand and sets him to work immediately. As time passes, Gregory finds it more and more difficult to reveal his true connection to her family, fearing that a woman who loathes liars will turn her disapproval on him. 

HIDDEN SPRING is an enthralling novella by Liz Adair, in which Susannah Brown is just getting her life back together after becoming a widow. She still misses Wesley with a fierce longing, but when she meets his half-brother, Douglas, she learns her heart is not completely dormant. Over the next several weeks, Douglas helps Susannah with repairs on her small ranch in exchange for supper. The exchange becomes more and more meaningful as Susannah realizes that Douglas might be the one to finally heal her heart. 

In Annette Lyon’s delightful story, THE SWEETEST TASTE, Della Stafford hates being a farm girl in the tiny town of Shelley, Idaho. She’ll do anything to live in a big city and experience real city life. Her only regret is that she’d have to leave Joseph behind, the young man who makes her heart flutter. But she's convinced that moving away is for the best; her dreams and Joseph's dreams are too dissimilar. Then Della takes a job as a maid in Los Angeles and must face the truth that what she thought would make her happy and what really will are totally different things. 

THE SILVER MINE BACHELOR, by Heather B. Moore, is a sweet romance between an unlikely pair. Lydia Stone has a checklist for men who qualify as the eligible bachelors in the mining town of Leadville, Colorado. Her new boss, Mr. Erik Dawson, is about to be struck off the list when she sees him coming out of the town brothel.
