CRAGBRIDE HALL: THE AVATAR BATTLE by Chad Morris—Book Review & other cool stuff

CRAGBRIDGE HALL: THE AVATAR BATTLE by Chad Morris. This book is the second in the series. I've been curious about book one for awhile and when the opportunity came up for the second one I decided to give it try. I'm glad I did. This is a very creative storyline that I have thoroughly enjoyed, enough so that I'll go back to the first book and read this one again. I love the characters. I love the school setting, all the tid-bits of history, the gadgets and challenges. It's just a fun escape to another world. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves great adventures and fantasy. Be sure to check out the awesome interview/book trailer at the end. :) You'll love it! It makes me even more excited for the books.

The adventure continues when Abby and Derick begin their second semester at Cragbridge Hall, the most prestigious secondary school in the world. The year is 2074, and Abby and Derick are busy designing their own virtual worlds and learning to control new robot animal avatars, but when their Grandpa Cragbridge admits them into the Council of the Keys—a secret group of people who have keys to travel back in time—strange things begin to happen. One by one, members of the council are found unconscious and unable to wake, their keys stolen. Now Abby, Derick, mand their friends must scramble to figure out who is behind the attacks before they become the next victims, which would give their enemy the power to change the past—and forever alter the present and future.

ERASING TIME by CJ Hill--Book Review

ERASING TIME by CJ Hill a.k.a Janette Rallison. I loved this book. The word play that happened kept me on my toes and smiling through the whole thing. I loved the characters and got completely lost in the society of the future. There was a twist that I didn't see coming and I love it when that happens. I can recommend this book for just about everyone. There is a bit of violence that might not be appropriate for younger audience.

When twins Sheridan and Taylor wake up 400 years in the future, they find a changed world: domed cities, no animals, and a language that’s so different, it barely sounds like English. And the worst news: They can’t go back home.
The twenty-fifth-century government transported the girls to their city hoping to find a famous scientist to help perfect a devastating new weapon. The mob-like Dakine fights against the government, and somehow Taylor and Sheridan find themselves in the middle. The only way to elude them all is to trust Echo, a guy with secrets of his own. The trio must put their faith in the unknown to make a harrowing escape into the wilds beyond the city.

A WAY BACK TO YOU by Emily Gray Clawson--Book Review

A WAY BACK TO YOU by Emily Gray Clawson. It's amazing how many book I've read lately that have had something related to death in them. I can't figure out if that's a new trend or I'm more acutely aware of that subject. Anyway, this book was a very interesting read. The whole question made me think, "What would you do with a second chance?" I loved seeing the growth of Annie throughout the story and how things worked out in the end. It's a great read for anyone and everyone who need a good book that has a good lesson throughout it. I would highly recommend it. If you would like to read chapter one, check it out under the excerpt tab here.

What would you do if you were given a second chance?
Annabelle, whom nearly everyone calls Anne, has been stuck in the past for two years. Numbed by grief over her husband's unexpected death and overwhelmed with the responsibility of raising their three young children alone, Anne agrees to let a friend take the kids for the weekend while she tries to get some much-needed rest at her parent's home.
But when Anne wakes up the next morning, she is suddenly sixteen again. And it just happens to be the worst day she spent as a teenager.
High school the second time around brings unforeseen changes and frustrations, but remembering that her future husband, Mitch, has just returned from a mission and is living on the other side of town gives Anne hope. Getting Mitch's attention (for the second time) is more complicated than she could have imagined, but Anne discovers she is stronger than she believed possible—and there just might be a future for her after all.
