CONFESSIONS OF A MOM
Happy New Year. This was a little project Tigger and I worked on this past week. It was fun to see how excited he was at putting it together even if we did go through 3/4 a bottle of glue. :)
This year has been slow coming up with goals. I can't say I've really even expanded past continuing to work on the ones I set last year. The thing that has caused me a lot of thought though is the amount of people who have said they don't believe in New Years resolutions. It has made me wonder why. Why not set goals to reach for? Why not work on different things? Why not set goals? Maybe it's a semantics thing and they really do set goals, they just don't call them that. I'm not sure. What do you think?
Another thing I've for sure decided is that I may not have a CONFESSIONS OF A MOM post every week. I'll do my best but if there's only a picture or nothing you'll have to forgive me. I'm trying to get life in order and a bit more balanced and I'm finding sleep is a little more important than I've given it credit for . . . but only a little. :)
So as we step into this New Year, I hope it brings much joy, lots of laughter, tons of fun, and may you reach your goals (or whatever you may call them.) :)con

CONFESSIONS OF A MOM
At the end of the year I put together our family scrapbook. It brings back lots of memories throughout not only this year but years past as well. I ran across several videos I hadn’t seen in a long time of Tigger at various stages. One was when he was beginning to walk. Another was him laughing at something. Another was him talking. It’s made me realize just how much he’s grown up. I can’t believe it. Where did my little boy go? He’s not so little anymore and I know he’ll just keep growing. It’s an interesting emotion.
Hubby also puts together a video at the end of each year. As I watched Bear’s video I’m amazed at how much he’s already grown. As slow as time seems to be going, I can’t believe how fast it’s flying by.
It’s fun to see how much we’ve accomplished and the smiles on everyone’s faces throughout the year. Hopefully, Tigger and Bear will appreciate these books later on in life. I know Tigger gets a kick out of them now. I also hope that the books we put together of Lion will help them to remember their brother.
The end of the year also brings into the forefront goals and things to work on for the next year. I’m not ready to look at this year’s list because I know there were several things that just didn’t happen. However, I look at everything that has happened and I’m pretty sure it’s an even trade.
So as you look toward 2015 keep in mind that goals change, take lots of pictures to help remember the smiles and laughter that is around, shoot high but don’t stress if you don’t quite make it, and remember to enjoy the journey. Life is good, even with the ups and downs. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

CONFESSIONS OF A MOM
I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. We did, although this week was harder than I expected again.
Christmas Eve Day, Tigger and I went to pick out a nativity for him when on the way home he said he missed someone. As the conversation continued, it came out that he missed Lion. All I could say was that I missed Lion too. How do you respond to that? It broke my heart. That’s something I still need to figure out how to deal with.
As the new year approaches, this is the time of year we all think about resolutions. I happened upon my goals for this year and accomplished more than I thought I would. But one thing I did learn was that you have to be flexible with your goals. You can plan for everything life throws at you and you have to realize that life can change your goals. Don’t be so set in your ways that you can’t change course.
This is something I’m still really working on, but I think it’s a good reminder to all of us. So enjoy the time with your family, and Happy New Year! :)
